IFFCY announces scriptwriting winners

The 30th edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth (IFFCY) has announced the winners of scriptwriting competitions.

According to the information center of the 30th IFFCY, each the five categories of screenwriting competition have three winners.

Golden Butterflies of the Animation Scripts went to Bahram Jalalipour for ‘The Secret of Solomon’, Fereydoun Houshmand for ‘Thousand-Mirror Fairytale’, and Meraj Mir-Ahmadian for ‘The Salty Monster’.

Shiva Kazemi and Mojgan Farahavar-Moqaddam for ‘The Old Bag’, Fereydoun Daneshmand for ‘The Winner’, and Seyyed-Javad Hashemi for ‘The White Forehead’ grabbed the Golden Butterflies at Professional Adapted Scripts contest.

Amateur Adapted Scripts awards were presented to Nousha Abdollah-Zadeh for ‘Hasti’, Shirin Badrlou for ‘The West Seventh Floor’, and Akbar Keshtkar and Ali Krovalian for ‘Money’.

In Professional Scripts section, Ali Fayazmanesh and Amin Behrouzi for ‘Mounes’, Sholeh Shariati for ‘Game’s Spirit’, and Mehrdad Movaffaq for ‘Dorna’ took home the Golden Butterflies.

Golden Butterflies of the Amateur Scripts went to Vali Baqeri and Afsaneh Aqanejad for ‘The Ladder’, Niaz Esmaeelpour for ‘The Double Life of Navid’, and Mohsen Zamani and Maryam Seddiq for ‘Visiting My Mom and Dad’.

The International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults is organized annually by the Farabi Cinema Foundation in affiliation with the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs.

The event celebrates films made for children and youth. It also supports emerging filmmakers with innovative cinematic visions and ideas.

The 30th edition of IFFCY has been slated for June 30 to July 6, 2017 in the Iranian city of Isfahan.
